Fashion Friday: Edition now with a 30% off discount code!

Y’all.

It’s a holiday weekend. And I’m so excited about it because I have big plans to sleep in on Saturday AND Monday morning. In fact, the promise of that luxurious sleep in time is the only thing that propelled me out of bed this morning.

And I mean it will be real sleep in time since P will be home. Not the kind of sleep in time I get when he’s out of town and Caroline says she’s going to let me sleep but then whispers a play by play of everything she’s about to do and then crawls back in bed next to me with a dry bowl of Cheerios that she crunches as if she’s eating a bag of rocks.

“MOM. I’M GOING TO TURN ON SCOOBY DOO.”

“MOM. IS THE T.V. ON TOO LOUD?”

“MOM. I’M GOING TO GO GET MORE CHEERIOS.”

Anyway, those are my big plans for the weekend. And then we’ll have a basketball game at some point and I plan to have one night where I eat things I actually want to eat and not vegetables.

But let’s talk about fashion.

More importantly, let’s talk about discount codes.

The nice folks at Francesca’s Collections are offering my readers a promo code until January 30 that will get you 30% off a single regular priced item AND free (FREE) standard shipping.

Here are the details:

Promo Code: MAMA
Promo Discount: 30% off a single regular priced item & free standard shipping!
Promo Dates: 1/1/11-1/30/11

Here are few things from Francesca’s that I might be tempted to buy with a 30% discount.

1. flutter scarf

2. color me wrap

3. grecian cuff

4. rouge chandelier earrings

5. row upon row wrap

And those are just a few things. There is all kinds of good stuff to be found.

Just for fun and because I love these outfits. Here are some combinations I saw on Pinterest this week and thought they might give you some inspiration.

Awwww! Too be able to dress that cute!!! Even a 30% discount won’t help me! :( I can’t even shop at the thrift store, cause I spent all my husband’s hard earned money to go to SSMTC2. I’m going to be the most underdressed person there!!! And my personality really isn’t one that wants to be. Some people may dress like me cause they like to dress that way, and that’s fine, but it’s so not me, and I was so hoping you could see the real me. Not just the slob that can’t work because of PTSD and depression :( I want ya’ll to see that I’m more than my struggles!

Oooo–a discount code and pretty stuff from Pinterest?? I likes it. The board with the yellow drop earrings is my favorite, I think. Lots of nice layers. I just wish I was as skinny as the fake headless model girl.

Hope all of your sleeping in dreams come true! I’m taking my girls to the American Girl store in DC tomorrow. Wish me luck–I might make my mom drive b/c I’m always scared of getting stuck on the beltway. ;)

I stuck my toe in the waters of Serious Junk TV and watched the first two episodes of “The Bachelor”. Is it just me, or does the model wearing the color me wrap look exactly like Courtney from the show? Given that she IS a model, is it her? Could it be?? Now I’m gonna wonder about that for a good half-hour or so. See what watching junk TV has wrought? Oh, dear.

I love the last outfit with the yellow shirt. I wish I had all these clothes in my closet. It would make getting dresses a lot easier!

I LOVE all the Pinterest outfits….. but is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that they are only for super skinny girls? None of the outfits they feature would look good on me. I’m hoping someone starts a chubby girls’ Pinterest asap.

      Here, here!

Real humans are not depicted inside the clothes, so there is a way to make things look slim and sexy. In other words, there are NO BODY ISSUES. If my butt ever looked as good as the last picture, I think I could pretty much rule the world.

I love the row upon row wrap from Francesca’s. I really like the Pinterest outfit with the red vest too but I’m a little confused about what I would do with the pine cones and giant snowflake. Velcro them to my purse? Wear them in my hair?

I LOVE it when you post Pinterest outfits! It’s like ALL the hard work of figuring out the fashion puzzle is done for me!

Yeah thanks so much for the 30%!! I LOVE Francesca’s. They opened one here in May yet somehow I didn’t discover it until Christmas??!! Helllo I have two babies and obviously don’t make it to the mall much. So online shopping is still my friend. I ordered the Color Bar Wrap in Turquiose. Love it! Happy Friday to me :)

I was LOL at your description of sleeping in with Caroline home. Because my son does the exact same thing. Except I also get a play by play of whatever video game is playing on the DS or ipad.

I can’t tell you how much I love the outfits pins on Pinterest. They have helped me put things together that I ALREADY OWN into ensembles that are WAY cuter than what I normally wear. Thanks to Pinterest, I am not as fashionably challenged as I used to be!

Pinterest…I have no clue. I go there and feel like I walked into a party I was not invited to. Do I need a friend to invite me? Help!

Thank you for the discount! I slept in this morning and then ordered a cute cross body bag. My first time shopping at Francesca’s. Happy long weekend!

Yay!!! A Valentine’s Day gift! 30% off AND free shipping to Honolulu! $12.60 total for the cute orange scarf! Thank you, thank you! (The grad school daughter will love this more than the M and M’s I was going to send.)
