Big Boo Podcast: Episode let’s not even pretend I know

It has really happened.

In what has turned out to be an annual event, Sophie and I have recorded a new podcast.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or, as always, you can subscribe on iTunes if you’re feeling particularly fancy.

I’m just sick that we recorded the whole thing this morning before we knew about the TomKat divorce or Adele’s pregnancy. It’s like the world changed while we were talking about Dallas and wondering where Pam Ewing is and marveling at Sue Ellen’s well being.

But the good news is you’ll know more than you ever wanted about Caroline’s hermit crabs.

As always we’re right on the cutting edge.

Wow, I didn’t know about the divorce either! Thank you so much going to listen now. Guess you’ll just have to do another one 😉

  2. Leigh says

Y’all will have to record another one this week to address the pressing issue of TomKat’s divorce. Oh, and how badly NBC treated Ann Curry.

  3. says

You guys! “Let’s all settle around the TV and watch adultery”. You kill me Sophie! Melanie, I want to go to the conference in September Just for the 2 of you. Although leaving MA to go away all by myself with dinner out each night sounds so good no matter! Hoping I see you all soon!

  4. Lynne says

Pam Ewing, now that’s really going back! Seems like I remember that she disappeared after being severely burned in the car crash that occurred when she was on her way to Southfork because she and Bobby were getting back together. Whew, got all that?

  5. says

As if I needed another reason to really like you … now I know that you sound like Tami Taylor from Friday Night Lights (which I hope you have watched). You guys are just great. :)

  6. says

    That was absolutely hysterical!

The comments about watching Dallas when we were kids-my GF’s and I talk about that all the time.
    What WERE are parents thinking!!

And, you totally sound like Tammy Taylor !

Thanks for the laughs this morning.

LOL at the Dallas comments! The TomKat divorce is going to make for some fun podcast fodder, I think. I’m really looking forward to how Katie’s lawyers will no doubt spill the crazy bucket to give us all a glimpse into what Scientology is really like. Juicy!

We made a trip to the lake this weekend, and I loaded up on the Trash mags and caught up on the Hollywood gossip. I’m also very relieved that the girl from MTV’s “Teen Mom” is NOT pregnant. I force the boys to watch this show as often as I can because look how hard life is for these kids. DON’T DO THAT.
At the lake, I glanced over at my friend, and she was reading Time Magazine and particularly an article about Kahn Academy. (You really should check it out. It’s a fabulous idea for help with school concepts that kids struggle with.) Anyway, I felt pretty silly reading about trash, while she read about real world concepts and ways to help our kids.
Then I took a sip of my Pina Colada and went back to my magazine. I was on vacation from thinking.

  9. says

Okay, ya’ll are like my long-lost Friday night TV drama sisters.

I, too, have been wondering where in the dickens Pam is. And Y’ALL…I seriously thought everyone except Sue Ellen WAS dead. Seriously, I’m loving this new installment of Dallas too much. When it’s over, I’m waiting for Falcon Crest to start.

And re: the hermit crabs? Hubs and I were on a beach vacation not 2 weeks ago and saw a hermit crab who had housed himself in a black shampoo bottle top. No. Lie. Apparently, they’ll live in any old thing they pick up on the beach! It was cute though. Looked like he was wearing a top hat as he skittered across the sand, like he was gonna break out in song. Maybe he’ll audition for Miss Mississippi.

Oh my! I’ve been reading yours and boo mamas blog for about a year now but just found out about y’alls podcasts. Hi-larious. I have been listening to the older ones now and they’re cracking me up. I feel like I can unashamedly admit that my best friend and I have been talking about these podcasts like y’all are our friends. Thanks for the entertainment
