I’d rather not remember this Alamo Bowl

December 29, 2007

This is where I could talk about my frustration in watching the Aggies drive 98 yards down the field, only to be stopped on 4th and 1 while Jovorskie Lane stood on the sidelines and watched us run the option.

But, instead, I will focus on pleasant, happy thoughts like bunnies, rainbows, and boxes full of puppies.

And, most pleasing of all, the fact that every single one of my Christmas decorations are packed up and back in the attic.

Oh, and that the Fran era is officially over.

And that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Woohoo! Doesn’t it feel good to get those things put away? I feel cleansed…

Sorry about that, hopefully next year will be much better for your Aggies. You and BooMama have inspired me to watch as much US college football as I can get up here in Canada. It sure is fun to watch.

Even though we’ve had our own league since 1958, we’re only just lately getting enthused about it at a high school and college level.

Many Canadian football fans follow a CFL team as well as an NFL team. I’ve had a love\hate (mostly hate) relationship with the Bills since they lost those 4 super bowls and traded Doug Flutie…GRRRRR

Which brings me to a podcast question for you and BooMama. Do you have favorite NFL teams too or do you just move straight into college basketball? Are you, as a resident of Texas, required by law to cheer for Dallas? Do you blame Jessica Simpson?

Thanks for the many many laughs, you and Caroline and P. always brighten my day

so I guess a rousing rendition of “WE Are….Penn State” would not be amusing to you? sorry, really I’m a Pitt fan, but my oldest loves him some PS football. And he is thrilled, so see it made my child happy, wasn’t that worth it?

I can just hear you singing “Raindrops and roses and whiskers on kittens. . .”

You and me both are very happy to start a new year with a new coach for our beloved teams! Here’s to 2008!

Can you come up to “Big D” and pack up my cmas stuff too? I have to keep it up while my husband’s sister and her family are visiting this week – I will be sick of it by then…

Sorry about the Aggies…

Happy New Year!

Preach it, Sister. We have no where to go next year but up. For the love of all things Maroon, please tell me I’m right.

It could be worse, though. You could be grieving the loss and still have all your Christmas stuff to put away, too. Oh, but wait….then that would mean you are ME:)

It’s like watching South Carolina play. It’s heartbreaking.

On another note, can you post an update about Olivia?

I would like to forget it too. I was there admist the PSU fans proudly wearing my A&M sweatshirt. My husband however (a redraider) chose to wear a longsleeve navy shirt to make him look like a PSU fan. I made him buy a new shirt that he finally put on in time for the game. Better luck next year.

A new year, a new coach and all the decorations away. I thought we were golden. Then, we opened the front door and remembered the outside lights.
Just like our yell leader friend, we spoke a little too soon. :)

I would like to brag alongside of you that my Christmas decorations are all put up as well. But seeing as my new realtionship theme right now is, “We interrupt this marriage to bring you stinkin’ bowl games,” it just isn’t so. Oh please, somebody tell me how to enjoy this sport! I’m trying to be a big girl about it all- really I am. Maybe I need to go get a Baby Born, feed it too much, and make my husband burp it while I put the decorations up. Oh I kid—-kind-of!

I felt like I was watching last year’s OU game all over with the 4th and 1 and no J-Train in the game. Oh well- here’s to next year and a new coach… and to lots of cocktails whilte taking down the decor!

I love your blog, read it daily! But, alas, I live in the middle of State College and we were CELEBRATING over that win! But you Aggies had us scart at the beginning! Laurie

I’m so jealous about the decorations thing; I HATE putting them away. Sorry for your loss :)

We have a cat named Jorvorskie Lane. That is all.

What makes me sick is that we opted to go to San Antonio for the bloody Alamo Bowl INSTEAD of staying home and taking down my Christmas decorations. Bad Choice.
