Seriously, I already have the study book and would love the DVD kit! I met Lisa at Abundance and was so impressed with her warmth and humor. One thing she said that has stuck with me: “The Bible isn’t a rule book; it’s a love story!” Bought three of her books that day, and they did not disappoint. She’s a real gem.

I’d gladly take my own personal Prophet – or a Bible Study about a Prophet.
There are times in our troubled life that we forget just how much mercy God had for us. Just today my daughter asked when bad things happen why do we respond with “God why are you doing this”, instead of saying “Satan leave me alone”. I think a bible study based on His grace and mercy would be a wonderful way to spend time with friends, family and anyone else you can find to remind us of how much we are loved.
For a Minor Prophet there is major learning in this book of the bible, would be so excited to win this to share with others.

This would be a wonderful study to share with my neighbors as I wind down the last 4 months of my husband’s year long deployment. So thankful God is *always* with me.

The next best thing to seeing and listening to Lisa live would be to see her videos! I would love to win. Even though I have never actually met Lisa, I feel like she is one of my besties! In all honesty when I saw the word Malachi and EVERY time I hear the word or see it I think of the movie Children of the Corn. I only watched a portion of that movie because it was so gross but that name still haunts me to this day.

My first thought when I saw the title of the post was, “I wonder who this new designer Malachi (which in my head I pronounced MahLAHchee) could be – that Bigmama is so up on all the latest trends.” Then when I realized it was actually a Bible study, I REALLY got excited….OT prophets are way better than handbags. It would be great to already have a study for my summer group who starts asking me in January what we are going to do come June. How surprised would they be if I had an answer????
But Melanie – I’m thinking how handy it would be to have an in-house prophet! Wait – I do have an in-house prophet – my husband!

Lisa was the speaker at a retreat I went to in Milwaukee a few years ago — she is such a GREAT teacher. Too many women speakers are spend too much time with emotional stories, funny stories, etc. and too little time on actually teaching what God says in his book . . . but Lisa is a fantastic teacher!! Can you tell I love her???

We (the Burkeville, TX United Methodist Women) are certainly a small group. Once a week all 5 of us meet at 3:00pm, and once a month the working women join us, so that makes a meeting of 9. I have started doing Bible Studies for young adult women in my home. Our first study was Kelly Minter’s Nehemiah and I just picked up Lisa’s book Malachi for our next study..and it would be a big help if we could do the DVDs with the study. His name is Micah and he is a sweet gift we were not expecting. His daddy passed away VERY unexpectedly five years ago this Sunday, October 7th while running the Chicago Marathon.
