OH MY GOODNESS! Was your Uncle Paul adopted? He's a dead ringer for my daddy. And now that I think of it, Daddy's father's name was Paul. :-) I almost spit tomato juice all over my laptop. I can't quite see Daddy doing the toot-toot dance, but his older brother definitely would have. Does that count?

Yeah, that's SO my family, except we are of German heritage with a little redneck mixed in. Yeah...and the whole SAS thing, that killed me, because my grandmother and aunts wear the same shoes!

Thanks for re-running this! Funny how the culture was similar for all those early 1900 immigrant families - my g-pa came from Sicily in 1920's.
My sisters and I always counted on the pasta with Turkey, Ham - depended on the holiday. I had the funny experience of my Gpa catching me with a green can of Kraft parmesan before he died. I had to listen to the whole explanation of how I could go to the Italian grocery, get a nice block of parmesan, keep in a cool, dry place.... etc... I won't go on like Gpa did.
Have yourself a great vacation and time with your little one before Kgarten.

We are hosting the family reunion in 2 weeks. Only one aunt left, but many cousins. It will be a blast.

Love your auntyt. We have lots of eccentics too. And much mayhem and foolishness. The result? My 29 y.o. son loves them all and still wants his picture taken with them.

Caroline will cherish these pictures of all her family. She probably will remember their stories to repeat to her children. Ahhh, families are soooo precious. Thanks for this wonderful post!!!
