So I had been exercising diligently and purged my closet so I could shop last fall for a new wardrobe. I got pregnant….and cried for a week. Now I have another beautiful daughter and a few extra inches, but it’s only been 3 months, right?! We’ve just moved from one coast to the other and after that much time in the van with 3 kids and now mlitary lodging until we find a place here, I took an hour for myself at the base exchange and I followed your advice. I got a pair of jeans. I did not pass go, collect $200 or wait to lose those inches (although I was able to get my normal size!)- came back with a cute pair of wide legged Bandolinis and a trendy little blouse, too. Ahh, the endorphine release! Thanks for the tips and encouragement; the whole family will benefit from the purchase of this outfit!

My favorite pair of jeans is from Eddie Bauer.
They have a fit they call “Curvy”. (to say the least!) These jeans are a size smaller in the waist than they are in the hips.
Usually when I try on jeans, I have to get them big enough to fit my butt and hips and they are HUGE in the waist. Not so with these jeans. AND, I can wear a size smaller than regular pants which is good for my self-esteem. (Plus, they come in petite!)
This fall, they are also making this fit in corduroy. My order arrives next week!!

I am loving this sweater from Talbots in boysenberry! The color is fabulous, and I love wearing bright colors still in the fall/winter!

Ok so this isn’t about the new fall fashion trends but it is about fall fashion in that it is a question about halloween costumes. I remember you made a really adorable pumpkin costume for Caroline and I was wondering if you’d share the knowledge of how to make the tutu/skirt that went with it. Thanks. This was fun. I have heard SO MUCH about Big Mama’s Fashion Friday I finally had to check it out. I could spend all night linking away. And you found some cute stuff. I even forgive you for the Red Plaid micro-mini dress (Because really if you can pull that off, I would be forced to hate you) because of the fabulous floral tunic that I must now find a way to own.
