The couch: a sequel

September 25, 2008

Who knew there would be so much interest in my compelling couch story? My couch and I are overjoyed.

Stay tuned for next week when I will discuss my dining room chairs.

Here is a picture of the newly cleaned couch.

If you don’t like it, please don’t mention it because I am stuck with it for at least the next thirteen years. At which time I can load it on to a UHaul and send it off to college with Caroline. It will be perfect for all the Bible studies I’m sure she’ll host in her apartment.

It really is a great couch. Very comfortable and, apparently, truly wash and wear. Everything comes off and can go in the washing machine. I had to pull up the cushions because I couldn’t remember who made it. Clearly, I am all about brand loyalty.

Anyway, it’s by a company called Lee Industries. I highly recommend their furniture and they should feel free to send me an upholstered chair and ottoman in exchange for the shout out.

Y’all have a great day! I’ll be back tomorrow with Fashion Friday. We’ll be discussing shoes and some other stuff.

Thank you so much for sharing more information about your lovely couch! I love how the seat cushions are different. Thanks again!!!

It’s just lovely! Here’s to hoping that Murphy’s Law doesn’t kick in tonight and give you another bloggable moment of how puke or blueberry juice or some other substance found it’s way onto your nice clean couch. ;)

I LOVE that couch.
If your daughter does not want to take it with her, feel free to send it my way.

Unlike my couch, your couch has just the right amount of flowers. Mine looks like some little old lady was feeling all flowery when she shopped for new furniture.

Ahem.

I LIKE yours. I can tell it’s comfortable. And compared to mine, it’s very subdued and tasteful. :-)

I have a non-washable,but nice red and gold-ish colored chair in my den that would perfectly match your couch. Weird!

Great comfy couch! I need mine washed bad. When you can’t find anything to write about… I guess everyone can relate to the couch:-)

Love this couch!! And for the record, the couch in my house was shipped off with me when I got my first apartment in college. My dad didn’t like it because it was too red, and my mom would still take it back if he’d let her. However, the first week they had it, he fell asleep on the couch with an ink pen in his shirt pocket…giant stain so I can’t rotate the cushions as well as I’d like. I have given entirely too much information about the couch at this point. But I still think my couch looks great (although not as good as yours!)

I think your couch is GREATNESS! I chose a deep burgundy for the back and seat cushions of our couch, tan for the back pillows, and black for the throw pillows. My MIL just said “well, its YOUR couch” when she saw my fabric choices. Its different but classy, in my humble opinion.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!! I’m all about my shoes!! hehe

Washable and comfortable??? With four kids under five, that’s my kind of couch! ;)

You know what amazes me about that couch is the curve. We don’t make ‘em like that in Georgia.

Curved couches and queso. Texas has it all.

I’m so glad that I wasn’t the only one that found your couch story interesting… HA! What a concept a washable couch – I love it!

Oh how super cute. I made the mistake of getting a leather couch after my daughter was born. 3 dogs and a 4 (almost 5) year old have proved I made a huge mistake! Glad to hear you got it lookin’ new again!

I like it, a lot! Looks perfect to curl up on with coffee for a two hour gab session with girlfriends.

I LOVE IT! You have great taste; then again, I already knew that from Fashion Friday :)

I rarely comment on here…for whatever reason….mainly I think because I’m so fashion-LESS that I’m afraid I’ll make a fool of myself. But today I had to write and say…WHAT a couch! It just seems to whisper in a soft voice…”You will be SO comfortable if you sit/lie on me!” Sigh! I’m jealous. :)
