Where is Fashion Friday? I blame 30 Rock.

November 21, 2008

Okay, I spent my entire evening watching quality Thursday night television programming and now I am exhausted. However, I’d already decided that I wasn’t going to do a Fashion Friday this week because I just wasn’t up to doing all the extensive fashion research that it requires.

I know. I have disappointed even myself.

Maybe Big Mama, Inc. needs a billion dollar bailout to get things going again.

I’ll even settle for a half billion.

The good news is I’ll be back before lunchtime with a post about a little contest that I’m working on that involves fashion or the lack thereof.

And in the meantime, I’ll leave you with this little gem courtesy of Google search. Someone found the blog today using the search phrase “Will Virginia ever get to eat Blue Bell Ice Cream?”

I’m not sure if they meant the state or a particular person named Virginia. Either way, I hope Virginia has a chance to try some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. It is delightful.

I love those random google searches that bring total strangers to our blogs. I haven’t found any real fun ones on mine lately.

It’s okay Big Mama about the Fashion Friday. According to Michael, the ends justify the mean. :) Have a happy Friday!

Hi Big Mama!
I’ve been reading your blog for about a year but haven’t really posted. I’m up in Dallas and relate to your TX humor. You make me smile everyday. I’m gonna have to check out 30 Rock. I loved Tina F and her Palin stuff.

Well, as a Virginian, I hope some Blue Bell is coming our way. I’m always open to new ice cream senstations!

I myself also have a 30 rock/the office addiction, so I can sympathize. I also put off doing things last night in lieu of watching some good TV.
I really enjoy reading your blog! Thanks so much for all the time you put into it.

Okay, I simply have to share this, because your brought it up…

Someone once came to our blog by searching the phrase “spank my husband” in Google. I kid you not. My husband and I laughed for a good three or four hours straight over that one.

The guilty post? I was talking about playing Wii and how a fried of ours had accidentally “spanked my husband” with the wiimote.

Priceless.

Bwahahahaha. It’s hilarious to me, but I imagine the person who entered that query is really worried about Virginia. I hope google found the answer.

Love your Fridays but a girls needs some rest from time to time. Who doesn’t love Blue Bell? All flavors!

15 Holly @ Crownlaiddown November 21, 2008 at 10:46 am

Yay!! Tomorrow we will be in the land of the Blue Bell! Vanilla with little black specs is delightful.

So, my friend, are you!

And you know…I am praying for you, sweet Melanie.

OH! And tomorrow night we’re meeting up with a fellow Aggie Sister in Christ and her fam at Rainforest Cafe. We shall certainly pray for no humiliation for the Ags–which would be an ever-livin’ miracle.

if you do get the government bailout, would you use it for lavish trips for your blog readers, oh please, please please????

on a fashion note – I ventured out on the leggings limb…not as bad as I thought =)

Blue Bell is available in California. Why isn’t it everywhere else? I still prefer strawberry Breyers.

Lack of fasion screams my name! Can’t wait to see the contest! Enjoying the blog as always! Thanks! Rhonda

Having previously lived in Alabama (blue bell country) and currently living in Virginia (NO blue bell…. these people think that Breyers is the best on earth!)

I miss Blue Bell….

love the “bail out” comment, I’d even take a quarter of a billion, I’m open to any of it! hahaha…look forward to next Friday fashion edition.

It has to be the state. Keep the hope, Virginia! Blue Bell’s now in Tennessee, which means my displaced-Texan mama doesn’t have to drive to Alabama with a cooler every few months. But if you’re looking for a system, she would pack in the Blue Bell (no ice) and duct tape the cooler shut. You can get a good 3 hours from freezer to freezer with that method.

22 Lindsay Webb November 21, 2008 at 2:00 pm

I’m voting for the state too… we poor misled Virginians do tend to think that Breyers is the best ice cream, but I was lucky enough to go to college in MS and get shone the light of truth on ice cream issues! We got to go to Alabama this summer and I got to introduce my family to the deliciousness that is banana split Blue Bell! Yummo!

Oh my. This is my first time reading your pg. LOVE IT! You have my sense of humor. As for Virginia, I so hope she get’s that ice cream. It’s totally mucho bueno!
