Bops came over after work the other day and dazzled Caroline with his slingshot prowess.
The whole time I kept thinking trouble was on the horizon, but I ignored it in favor of watching olives from our Mexican Olive tree explode as they hit the roof.
I am easily entertained.
Slingshot from Big Mama on Vimeo.
Needless to say we won’t be bringing out the slingshot again any time soon.
**Edited to add: I didn’t realize it was a cliffhanger and sadly there is no sequel. Once we heard the yelling we dropped the slingshot and ran for the house. I’m about 98% certain the errant olive hit the neighbor’s dog. Rest assured that the dog is alive and well. No animals were harmed in the making of this video.

Love the Grandpa/granddaughter camaraderie, and Caroline is such a character! I love how she’s so caught up in the excitement and talking a mile a minute and making sure you don’t miss anything with the camera.
I have to know. Who did it hit?
I can’t help but think of Steel Magnolias and the birds in the tree!!
Isn’t it wonderful how little girls twist and prance when they’re excited? I love it.
The ambiguous arm of the law didn’t have to get involved, did they??
Oh!! I need more details! What happened????
I agree, more details! Very cute video! Have a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving!
I can’t understand what the person in the background is saying. What happened?
How cute! I will be waiting for details as well.
Happy Thanksgiving.
(I’m wanting more details too!!)
She is so precious and what a pretty dress!
I love a good cliffhanger! And I’m on the edge of my seat, waiting for Part 2!
When will the sequel be released?
hahaha!! so funny!!
What happened? Did she get a neighbor or a dog?
Cliffhanger!!
so…what happened?
this is like the end of the Sopranos. I just don’t get it.
Oh my word. That is hysterical.
(And I know I’ve said it before, but our daughters are cut from the same cloth. The VERY SAME cloth. We should really get them together sometime, but only for about ten minutes, because at the point the drama level might make our heads explode.)
Cute!!!!
bummer on the sequel though
This amused me to no end! My favorite line was, “Shoot it up high into the sky!” Fun memories. Your neighbor’s yelling was also hilarious.
Oh my gosh she is too cute with her chewing gum and barefeet!
I LOVE that you have an olive tree in your yard….how cool is that. We love a good sling shot at our house and use acorns for ammo. Great fun!
“I heard it!” ummm… not always something you want to say when your child has a slingshot in their hands! Neighbor’s dog… someone’s window… husband’s noggin… it’s NEVER really good when you say “I heard it!”, is it? Thanks for the giggles….
She’s hilarious. I love how she wants to make sure you are doing your job. Little girls are wired to take control! This was prime time to run inside and act as though you had absolutely no idea what was going on much less had video!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Well, I wish I had videos of my husband and his buddy tossing skeet pigeons over a neighbor’s house. Some of them flew dangerously low…
Happily the guys weren’t, ya know, SHOOTING the skeet!
hilarious! But what really gets me, is that it’s the end of November and you are wearing short sleeves! I’m so jealous!
What fun! Sorry about the neighbors dog or the mailman’s head or whatever, but I still ended up LMAO !
)
Your little girl is gonna have some GREAT memories to look back on.
My oldest LOVES it when his Grandpa gets out the slingshot too! What’s up with that? Maybe it’s a Southern thang… ; )
Love the video! HA HA HA!
