I’m with Anna Marie…looks like a turkey–after it’s been to the grocery store!
Oh, and Caroline looks adorable as always. (And I totally recognize that attitude and little hip sway–both my girls do it too when they know they look GOOD!)
Self-determination: Great news for Caroline in her future as a female in this world. However? Not so great for Mom/Dad when “locking horns” is inevitable. Same goes for raising boys. It gets better…sort of. That said, she’s wearing one of my favorite outfits. Boots, jeans and a black shirt. The other being yoga pants and slipper socks.
I think that “thing” is an old skull of some sort? My Katie used to have a pair of red Roper boots that she wore EVERYWHERE, throughout summer with shorts even, because she was too little to tie her shoes and could just slip them on. We still have them, I can’t bear to give them up.
I like to read the comments too before me and it tickled me how many people wondered what that was on the ground beside her. lol
Ultra fashion chic! Too cute! I have a 3 year old boy and I am thankful he is a boy. I found out the first Easter that I went shopping for his Easter cloths how broke I could get if I had a girl. Boys are just simple when it comes to cloths.
Yes, I’m wondering what that thing is by the fence, too! But she looks adorable in her Wranglers. Like something out of a catalog. Does Wranglers have a catalog? If so, I’d definitely submit her picture!
I’ve got three pairs of size 4 Wranglers I won’t be wearing any time soon. (As in, never again. I tried, but I’m a SoCal girl through and through.) I’ll send ‘em to Caroline for when she’s twenty and wants to catch her a cowboy.
In our house, we would call that a Sassy Pose … we love us some Wranglers over here in the PNW too. Love your blog – am new to the game but will be back!
Caroline is too cute. I love her poses. When I was unpacking my Christmas decorations I came across a pink feather Christmas tree adorned with pearls and for some reason it made me think of Caroline even though I don’t even know her. I think I must be spending too much time on the computer.
I love your edit comment about the skull: “that’s how we roll in Texas”. I grew up on a farm in New Mexico, an hour from lovely El Paso, and I’m now transplanted to Michigan. There are some things those city folks just will never understand!
Hey There- I’m trying to get a Texan response to the Christmas survey I got – if you get a chance, would you mind? Clearly, I’m still very new at blogging and haven’t a clue how to link and backlink and all that yet- but never fear- I’ve got Blogging for Dummies and I’m reading like a fool! So love your blog- I read it every day!
I just found this post today – - – having just returned from being out of town for a couple of days – - – and I gotta confess, I was also ABOUT to ask what the brown thing at her feet was!!!! Only, I thought it was a clump of some kind of decorative dried weeds!!!!
Love the Wranglers. A true Texan.
And thanks for clearing up the mystery of the beige lump. I, myself, thought it was a baby deer laying down. But I’m all Bambi like that.
Oooh, cute Wrangler’s for girls. Where did you get them?
Do they make those for big girls? As much as my husband LOVES Wranglers, ME in a pair would put him over the top!
Of course, I’m not sure I would look quite as cute in them as Miss C.
)
Pardon my stupidity, but what is that beige thing by her foot?
I don’t get it.

and how to get it!!
Cute jeans and boots, and sweet little girl in them. Is that a leftover turkey next to her in the photo? Confusion abounds!

yea what is that thing?
Yup I’m with everyone else…funny how we all are focusing on the unknown thing in the picture, even when precious C is looking so grand!

Love those jeans!!! Hope you plan on telling us curious mommies where you got them and exactly what kind they are!! Too precious!!

I was wondering what that thing was! thanks for the update
Caroline really is posing like a model here. She is adorable. Don’t they grow so fast? She’s Miss Personality.
Thanks for the clarification. That skull head could double as a raw turkey any day…
I love the look! She is a cutie. I would so love to be somewhere where I didn’t have to wear a coat to go outside! Brrrr… it’s so cold here!

Beautiful child, ugly bunny rabbit.
