We call that one the “stupid parent” look around here. Often one of us can be found pointing and laughing at the other while exlaiming “hahaha YOU got the stupid parent look!” Good times.

and i forgot to add that i would love to be where ever you are with all that sunshine and warm weather. here in seattle it’s a rare day, which we happen to be having today, but the rain will be back by the 4th–it always comes back.

I’ve seen that look before. On the first child’s face, I negotiated. On the second daughter–not so much. On the third daughter’s, stuck to my guns. When the 4th daughter got that look, I just said “I’ve seen that look before and it doesn’t work, so get over it and get out of the pool.”

i think you have a star in the making–she has the diva look down pat

how i remember the days of spendng all day at the pool with my boys. of course, i was recently stuck in las vegas for a month and i spent 8 hours a day sitting ou at the pool . . . so i can sympathize with your beautiful daughter.
