Fashion Friday: Edition it’s so hot that it’s making me angry

Something happened in the last two weeks and the sun is angry. It’s like someone dared to whisper that the month of June and early July were actually pretty pleasant all things considered and the sun felt like that was a challenge and decided to show what it can do. And here’s what it can do: cause me to lose my will to live by 3 p.m. when I realize I have to drive somewhere and the temperature inside my car is 124 degrees.

So there’s no better time to sit inside your house and shop online instead of going to an actual store, especially when there are still good sales times to be had.

Here are some cute things I’ve seen this week:

1. diminuendo draped top

Anthropologie still has a big sale going on and you can get an extra 20% off all sale items when you use the code SALEAWAY at checkout. This cute top comes in this stripe and gray and black. I think it would be really great with jeans this fall and it’s $39.95 plus the extra 20% off.

2. zala poncho

I enjoy a poncho. This is a great transition piece from summer to fall and it’s on sale for $49.95 plus the extra 20% off.

3. nakula tote

4. blanket cardigan

This is another great item that’s part of the anniversary sale at Nordstrom. It’s just $37.90 right now and comes in several different color combos depending on what you like.

5. billabong mixed media jacket

I’ve seen the denim jackets with the gray sleeves, but I really like this one because it’s a little bit different. It’s on sale for $66.90 and is normally $99.95.

6. lena wedge sandal

I do not need another wedge sandal right now, but I would get these if I did. They also come in a beige color and I like that they aren’t too strappy which makes them a great transition to fall weather. They’re on sale for $54.90.

7. first classic dress

I think it’s hard to beat a simple black maxi dress because you can dress it up or dress it down depending on the occasion. This one also comes in plus sizes.

8. j.crew chambray shirt

A few weeks ago I posted a picture of myself from the 4th of July and several people asked about my shirt. It’s this exact shirt and is on sale for $29.50. I love it because I can wear it with shorts in the summer or my gray skinny jeans in the winter.
