Sorry about the throw-ups in your bed. (Not sure which one had that because you SOUND THE SAME!!) Love your Podcast. Good times. chilihead September 1, 2007 at 10:07 am You do sound the same! Freaky. But I’m LOVIN’ the podcasts…even it makes it hard for me to breathe through the laughter. Alana September 1, 2007 at 10:28 am “You Guys” are having too much fun with this! Kel September 1, 2007 at 10:33 am A husband who makes a child-proof bobcat rug. You are definetly blessed among women!! This was so fun. Danielle T. September 1, 2007 at 10:36 am Ooh, excitement! I left y’all a review at iTunes, under the name mrs_techno. 🙂 Please keep doing these! Sister September 1, 2007 at 10:40 am A toothless, clawless, bobcat lovey? You’re a better woman than I am. Gulley’s references to Richie Sambora and Joss Stone? Couldn’t have said it better myself. Hail State, Gig ’em Ags, and Long Live Jackie Sherrill. Fran September 1, 2007 at 10:52 am The bloopers at the end made my day….i was laughing and crying at my computer… I believe I need to go be an adult now…. That just brightened my weekend!! Football as begun! Go HOGS!! Anne N. September 1, 2007 at 11:10 am Love the talk about Units. I remember shopping at the store in Highland Mall in Austin, while at UT. Do you recall how there was a slight hole in all the armpits of the shirts/dresses?? So classy. Mary September 1, 2007 at 11:21 am In regards to the skinny jeans (I am listening right now) they only look good on my 11 year old who is 5’2″ and weighs 85 lbs. We got a pair on clearance at Aeropostale and they look fabulous on her! That is the only body type that can pull it off. The Pumkin Patch September 1, 2007 at 11:54 am I’d like to put in an order for a Bobcat rug, LOL. That’s too funny! A toothless, clawless bobcat rug. Yup, that’s on my Christmas list. Kelly September 1, 2007 at 1:23 pm I love that ya’ll can talk about football and fashion all in the same 30 minutes. Only in the south! And Rhett Butler – he makes me weak in the knees too. :-)Always has and always will. gulley September 1, 2007 at 3:11 pm I think Joss sounds like a perfectly lovely person and she would not mind y’all using her song. Love, Richie PS – I too had every color of connie flats, and now cannot embrace the ballet flat. annie September 1, 2007 at 3:48 pm I’m a little worried about relating to every thing you say, so I will listen again! 🙂 Now, two things because I know you’d want to know: 1. Gregg Matte is our pastor–are we blessed or what? (since you mentioned Breakaway) 2. I’ve found cute ballet flats made by Sketcher that truly look good–strictly casual, and they make classy houseshoes if you can’t bring yourself to wearing them with the jeans!http://www.softsurroundings.com/P/60639/ Fun to hear you two together. And I think you should know I have some skins to donate to your rug making cottage business. annie September 1, 2007 at 3:51 pm Forgot to mention–are you not THRILLED about the Siesta Fiesta right there on the Riverwalk????? P September 1, 2007 at 4:01 pm I so found those bobcats in the first place I looked. Too bad your out of town Bigmama the cats are back!!! P Jill September 1, 2007 at 4:10 pm Love the theme music. I think I speak for all of your readers when I say PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put up a picture of the Bobcat rugs on your blog. I can’t live a minute longer without seeing them. Becky September 1, 2007 at 6:01 pm Bob cats and skinny jeans from the devil! Too funny! Thanks for the laughs! where the boys are September 1, 2007 at 7:38 pm Units? – Guilty Fried Okra? – Love it! Toothless Bobcats? – Priceless Future topics idea – the upcoming fall TV season. LOST, Gray’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Survivor. I get giddy just thinking about it! Candace September 1, 2007 at 7:52 pm This podcast was great! It made me laugh so hard- loved the skinny jeans/Units commentary. I have to admit that I was a big fan of the Units. Jessica September 1, 2007 at 8:53 pm Ok, I am a committed listener to the Big Boo podcast! So much so, instead of responding to the screaming toddler nightmare halfway through the podcast I sent my husband to address the situation. Yep, I’m committed…and enjoyed every minute! (Thanks for the excuse to get out of that one). Love the music! And the bloopers! Jenn September 1, 2007 at 10:44 pm Living in Montana, but from SanAnton! That was a fun podcast! You two make me laugh on a daily basis. Yes, there is such thing as a Big Sky Conf., but truely if you aren’t from around here, you wouldn’t know it – nor would you care! At least today’s game was exciting (for an Aggie fan!). Side note, I have a great photographer in SanAnton if you need one. She did my whole family (25 people – lots of little ones) and the pictures turned out awesome! Mel September 2, 2007 at 5:47 am Too funny…the skinny jean conversation was the best! Mel Janet (aka JT) September 2, 2007 at 8:30 am I apologize before I even type this, but after P’s comment…when the mice are away, apparently the bobcats play… Please tell me that there is some sort of “pregnancy clause” that excludes pregnant women from your fashion comments. No, I’m not sporting skinny jeans or the plaid mini-kilt, but I was seriously considering ballet flats because I just can’t bring myself to buy yet another pair of “fancy” flip flops. Also, where can I register for the toothless bobcat rug? This could be a side business for P, you know. And, hey, when I was a college student at A&M, I taught Latin part-time at a private school in Bryan, and Jackie Sherrill’s little boy was one of my students! LOVED the podcast, and the serious news show music! Anne September 2, 2007 at 12:35 pm Love the podcast! You two crack me up! Bigmama – has anyone ever told you you look like Parker Posey? Of course, I’ve never actually seen you other than in pics that you’ve posted of yourself circa 1989, but when listening to the Waiting for Guffman/Best in Show discussion I realized that I picture you looking just like her. Maybe it’s because she wore braces in Best in Show? Just curious if you’d ever heard that from anyone else. Thanks for the laughs!! dawn September 2, 2007 at 4:15 pm Just a thought for you…My oldest son started having migraines at about age 4. It took us a while to figure out what was going on with him. He would say, I have a headache and then throw up. Turns out, his head was hurting for a long time before he threw up but he never said anything. It really got bad. Now, the minute the headache starts, he tells me and I give him Motrin jr. It helps and he rarely gets one bad enough to throw up. I sure hope she is not getting migraines. They are awful in children. Erin September 2, 2007 at 4:19 pm I think I would have had nightmares if I had carried around a toothless, clawless, bobcat rug when I was a child. 🙂 JudyMartin September 2, 2007 at 4:43 pm You both are so fun to listen to…reminds me of talking on the phone to my friend of 40 years! How about the topic of your mothers and what kind of influence they had on your life now as mothers yourself? Anna September 2, 2007 at 8:23 pm Hi! I’m 13 and have a question for your next podcast. I was wondering, what is y’all’s favorite thing to do in your spare time? I like to read Historical Fiction. Thanks Mrs. Bigmama and Mrs. Boomama. Bye! P.S. I luv your podcasts!!!! Melanie September 2, 2007 at 8:39 pm Best In Show- One of our favs. Pine nut, which is a nut, but it’s also the name of a town. I am so thankful that your home is child proof. Declawed Luvies are a must-have on the expectant mother’s registry. Emily September 2, 2007 at 10:09 pm Must post picture of the bobcat rugs!!! I’m sorry but I must say, “you guys” are the best! Women that can talk about fashion and football in the same breath are just meant to be my BFF! You should have heard my friend and I watching the Ohio State game. We talked about decorating, the new quarterback, high school classmates, the new Big 10 network, her Mississippi Mud cookies she made and etc. Keep up the podcasts! Too much fun! Haopi September 3, 2007 at 9:05 am Oh you two are like a breath of fresh air in a world that’s waaaaay too serious! I loved the podcast and especially appreciated the football talk, as I am a HUGE college football fan…specifically the Nebraska Cornhuskers. : ) Thanks for answering my question about motherhood. I agree with you 100%. Sick kids in the middle of the night are QUITE challenging! Thanks again for a great podcast. I look forward to the next installment. (Love the theme music, by the way!) Megan September 3, 2007 at 1:24 pm Thanks so much for answering my question! I am sooooo relieved to know that I can safely resist the evil that is the skinny jean and not feel that I out of style. Stacey and Clinton on WNTW have recommended them recently and in the past I’ve always liked their advice- so it had me worried! 🙂 I laughed so hard listening to you discuss the name of my blog. It’s pronounced “dee-mo” – just a nickname based on my last name. Can’t wait to see a picture of the bobcat rugs – Brenda September 3, 2007 at 4:01 pm I have a question. Who picked the theme music? (Love it.) Also enjoyed the bloopers. Cracked me up. Mexican food is my favorite, too! I once asked my husband what San Antonio was like (we were planning a trip, but I had never been there) and his description included the phrase “more Mexicans than you can shake a burrito at.” Elizabeth September 3, 2007 at 9:01 pm I LOVE it! I listened on Boo Mamas and it was GREAT! Hilarious! okra…mmmmmmm! Lisa@Take90West September 4, 2007 at 10:28 am This Yankee thinks “yous guys” are a riot! You two could totally have your own show…I really think your fashion and football talk defies all geographic boundaries! Can’t wait for the next one! pinkmommy September 4, 2007 at 10:36 am Loved it to pieces! You two are my pretend BFFs.
