Big Boo Cast: Episode July 1

Y’all.

We had roofers show up at our house at 7:45 a.m. this morning to start putting a new roof on the house. And in case you didn’t know, it’s a very loud process. Which is why you will hear me sound frightened and a little traumatized toward the end of this podcast.

So we discuss new roofs. And bringing back family card games of yore. And eating sandwiches for dinner.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or, as always, you can subscribe on iTunes.

Also, this is going to be my only post for the week. I’m going to celebrate America with my family and friends and, truthfully, I just need a little break.

Happy 4th of July! Hope it’s filled with fun.

We got a new roof last week. Our roofers showed up at 5:30 am!! Not my usual summer schedule to say the least. :/ Ours was finished in a day and a half. Hope yours goes as well. Enjoy your holiday!

Oh man. Boo Cast makes me laugh so much every time. Which would be a better thing if I didn’t listen to it while I’m working. I have to muffle my laugh so that the girl sitting across from me doesn’t think I’m more crazy than she already knows I am.

I love the Big Boo Cast. So glad y’all are doing them so often.
Unbroken is fabulous. It is an unbelievable true story.

Thanks for the recommendation on Seinfeld’s new shows!

I listened to one of the first podcasts a couple weeks ago, and yall talked about how you’d never be able to write books. Now in this one you’re talking all about your books :-) Pretty cool!

I listen to these at work when I need a break from 90′s Pandora. I have to muffle my laughs as well but sometimes it isn’t so easy! You 2 are hilarious!

We play a card game called golf. No, really. And it’s fun & easy to learn- but I’m no good at teaching/giving game directions so I guess you’ll want to google it.

I LOVE the Podcasts! I swear I feel like I’m listening to a convo between myself and my sister or BFF. SO hilarious. I dare someone to listen to this and not laugh. Gotta go, I’m headed to the HEB for deli meats and bread. Operation Sandwich starts tonight.

Oh how I love these podcasts! I feel like we are all just sitting around chatting it up – except its not us and just really you guys. :)

Oh, and I have now in a 24 hour period watched all the Comedians in Cars getting Coffee. I had no idea this even existed and it is just great television (or internet video). Thank you for sharing.

And more pod casts please – I so enjoy. A little slice of happy in my day. :)

    BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM MBOOOOOOM

    BANG BANG BANG

    CRUNCH CRUNCH

    BOOM BOOM

    Bang bang

THAT’S how my mornings are when I had my new roof installed.

I wake up GRUMPY every single morning for a month. Except for satursdays and sundays.

Big mama, you’re in for hell and I mean it!

You need to escape or at least sleep early… Heehee

    Take care of yourself babe!

Thanks for another funny 40 minutes! The sandwiches stories were really funny. Love the game night conversation, and yes–amazon prime is a game changer. Nothing is ever too difficult for amazon prime it seems, go ahead- put it to the test, she hasn’t let me down yet.

Oh, and what’s the update on Caroline’s wart?! My daughter had one frozen off too, it actually took 2 freezing sessions (much to her disappointment) and several sessions of a exfoliating pumice stone rub in the shower, but that booger finally has gone away.

    Please keep doing these!!!!

Appropos of not I-podcasts since I’m kinda like MTS 2.0, but I read your book. Oh my. As I was reading late last night, I kept waking up my husband with giggling. I resisted the urge to tell him the sweet story about Joe. Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing your as they say wit and wisdom.

Finally figured out how to listen to your podcast…so funny. Thank you for mentioning the book Mandy. I’m going to order for my 9 year old granddaughter.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog and the podcasts. I’ve been listening to the podcasts on my morning run and I get a double workout because I bust up laughing when I’m already out of breath from running. Good stuff! Keep up the good work!
