  • Big Boo Cast: Episode 418

This week Sophie and I talk about the latest with college football, the latest with what we’re reading, and the latest with her very early Christmas decorating. We also discuss the fact that Caroline and I are headed to Alabama this weekend so we can take a little road trip to the loveliest village on the plains.

On top of that, Sophie shares some of Hazel’s most recent issues (the separation anxiety is real), and it’s my turn for Five Favorites.

    Hope you enjoy!

  • Fashion Friday: Edition I’m living inside a plastic bubble

Listen, we had the best time at the Dallas live shows last weekend and then I decided this week was a good time to have our living room, dining room and kitchen wall retextured and repainted. I’m not sure where this disconnect happened in my brain.

Anyway, this is why I am currently holed up in the guest room and the entire rest of my house is covered in plastic. It’s like I’m the boy in the bubble.

    It’s fine. Everything is fine.

Here are some cute things I found this week:

    1. topshop bias cut maxi skirt

Leopard print is a neutral in my opinion and this is just a great skirt to have in your closet. You can dress it up or down.

    It’s $65.

    2. pomoa top

I love this top because it’s super cute and works for all seasons.

It’s $64. It also comes in a taupe color if you like something a little more neutral.

    3. merry sweater

I enjoy a holiday sweater that is simple and to the point. Love the bright colors in this one and just perfect with jeans and sneakers or even dressed up with a skirt.

    It’s $86.

    4. Lucy Paris katianna maxi skirt

Speaking of a great skirt, this one is so pretty and perfect for the holidays. It’s $80.

And it looks so good as a monochromatic outfit when you add this Lucy Paris britton sweater.

    The sweater is also $80.

    5. long sleeve midi sweater dress

I bought this dress and it is so good. I would say it runs true to size and it’s super soft. Perfect with boots and a jacket.

It’s $38. It also comes in charcoal gray.

    6. long sleeve ruffled boho dress

If you’re looking for a great dress for Thanksgiving or other holiday get togethers, I really love this one.

    It’s $198.

    7. pilcro crewneck waffle sweater

I have been eyeing this waffle sweater for a while and now it’s on sale for $99.95. The reviews are great and it’s a great length to wear with higher waister pants or a cute skirt.

It also comes in honey or wine.

    8. lost and wander mauve spell top

This top is just gorgeous and perfect for holiday parties.

    It’s $98.

    9. faherty fireside fleece popover

I am in love with just about everything Faherty makes and I have wanted this fleece since it first popped up on my Instagram. If you are someone who buys me Christmas gifts, please hear my cry for this fleece.

It’s $218 but you can get 20% off if you sign up for emails. I know that seems pricey for a fleece but I have a Patagonia fleece that I’ve had since 1998 that I still wear.

    10. anrabess striped cardigan sweater

Love this striped cardigan. Such a great piece to wear with jeans or a skirt. And it comes in several color options.

    This is $38.99.

    That’s it for today.

    Have a good Friday.

Sophie and I both have happy live show hangovers this week, so we break down all of our Dallas fun as well as some fantastic memories from not even 24 hours in College Station. We had time with our friends Beth and Ree, we had time with each other and our friends and family, and we saw some amazingly talented college students perform in Chi O Songfest. It was quite a time.

We also wrap up our gift guide suggestions (see what I did there?!) this week, and we hope you enjoy!

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode 415

Oh, how the college football turns have tabled. My Aggies traveled from the mountaintop to the valley this past weekend, so as you can imagine, I’m still processing my emotions re: the loss. However, the good news is that this week marks the first installment of our annual holiday gift guide, and we’re just as happy as we can be about that. Plus, we talk about our favorite fruity candy flavors, so basically we’re changing the world one podcast episode at a time.

So excited to see some of you in Dallas this week – and hope you enjoy, everybody!
