We waited until after the National Championship game (congrats, Georgia Bulldogs!) to record this episode, so naturally we talk about the game and all the reasons why we felt like it was the best of college football. We also discuss my weekend with Caroline and her college friends, plus a new form of exercise Sophie recently tried for the first time.
On top of that, we offer our thoughts on the Duchess of Cambridge’s 40th birthday portraits, and it’s my turn for Five Favorites.
Enjoy, y’all!

I agree with everything you said about the game. The National Anthem was sung by Natalie Grant, and truthfully, that was the best that I every saw/heard.
Even though my team was not playing I actually watched this game. I really did not care who won but watching this college football game was one I will be thankful that I watched.
I know that this is not what your blog is about. But I feel like you two are my BFF’s. I would like to request prayers for my cousins son, Timothy B. He has been diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of eight. One of my joys over the Christmas break was being able to drive him to his chemo treatment in Orlando. I was able to spend the whole day with him and my cousin. Timothy is really having anxiety every time they have to access/de-access his port. So that is the specific area we are all praying about.
SMH. My husband & son are high school football coaches and let me just tell you that you are correct. They have a bottomless memory of every game they have ever played, coached or watched. And they want to discuss their memories all the time when they are together. Let me tell you…….the women in my family are SO. NOT. LOVING. THIS. There is much eye-rolling and sighing at the table when they commence reminiscing about all the football STUFF. Plus, it’s pure torture to WATCH a game on the tv with them. I do not get to see any of the sweet interesting stuff, like the interaction between players or the darling GA qb crying because my coach-husband has to run every play back multiple times to break down each player’s execution of his role. Okay, thanks for listening. I feel better. This was very therapeutic!
