I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend with the ones you love. And I don’t just mean the Cadbury Eggs.

“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28: 5-6

  1. Spending time with the ones I love…the Cadbury Eggs…You’re a funny one, Big Mama!!! That made me giggle. And it also really makes me WANT a Cadbury Egg, so thanks a LOT since I don’t HAVE ANY. 🙂 I do, however, have a full-size Snickers bar in my cupboard that has been waiting on me…for such a time as this!

    And…not to get all super spiritual here…but what better “fashion” could we want, than to be clothed with the message of the resurrection!!! Wow! Those 3 phrases just give me the chills:

    He is not here
    He is risen
    Just as he said.

On one hand I want to tell you to take more days off because I hope you are not succumbing to dailyblogpublishing pressure….but on the other hand I get such a kick out of your writing that I don’t want to encourage you to cut back to a once a week schedule or anything….the internet would not be the same…but if you ever had to we wouldn’t love ya any less.

    So basically I just want to encourage you to pace yourself. And use discernment. (P might be a good sounding board).

    But by all means, girlfriend….take Good Friday off!!! 🙂

  27. Happy Easter! I love that women were the first people to hear the good news . . . or maybe that’s just because he knew they’d be better at getting the word out??

  28. Last week our little 4-year-old granddaughter asked me: “Where is God?” A little surprised at her question I replied, “Sweetie, He’s in Heaven and here with us and everywhere! Why do you ask?” “Well,” she said, “we sing a song at church that says, ‘He is not here….He’s alive!” It hit me immediately that she had been singing an Easter song without knowing the meaning. I explained to her that after Jesus had died and been buried some of his friends went to visit His grave and that when they got there an angel told them He had risen from the dead. “He is not here: for He is risen!” (Matt. 28: 6)
    I was so glad she asked her Ganmamma that question so she could know that He is indeed here with us! 🙂
