  • Fashion Friday: Edition I’m headed to Rocky Top

Caroline and I are headed to Knoxville this weekend to go watch the Aggies play at Neyland Stadium and I’m so excited about it. Even though people have warned me that Rocky Top will forever be embedded in my brain by the time the game is over.

    Worth it.

I also can’t tell you how early my flight leaves Friday morning because I’m trying not to think about it.

Anyway, here are some cute things I found this week:

    1. Maeve halter shirting jumpsuit

Jumpsuits are such a thing right now and I love them because they make getting dressed so simple. I realize it can take some time to find one that fits your body, but it’s worth the search. This one looks like it has real possibilities to be super cute.

    It’s on sale for $99.95.

    2. pointelle sweater tee

I bought the black version of this at the end of the summer because I loved it so much and didn’t want to wait for it to go on sale. It is just the perfect top to wear with jeans or pants or a skirt. And it’s a good layer under a jacket, too.

It’s now on sale for $59.95. It also comes in olive green.

    3. dolce vita martey H2O boots

Someone messaged me this week and asked about shoe options for fall and winter. I really love these. I have a similar pair from last year, but the wooden heel detail on this year’s version is so good. And these are waterproof which makes them the perfect winter weather boot.

They are $160. They also come in brown or black.

    4. new balance 327 sneakers

Here’s another fall and winter shoe option I love. These are just a classic style, super comfortable and look great with athleisure or jeans and a sweater.

They are $100 and come in several color options.

    5. anrabess two piece sweater set outfit

I saw this the other day when I shopping for Amazon prime days and I love it. The reviews are great and this just looks like the perfect outfit for running around on a chilly day.

It’s $47.99. It comes in a ton of color options.

    6. Boston shearling birkenstocks

Here is another shoe option for winter and fall. I bought these last year and basically wore them every single day. They are all the comfort of a Birkenstock but with the warmth of an Ugg. They look cute with everything from jeans to yoga pants.

    They are $170.

    7. crossover flare leggings

Speaking of yoga pants, I know the kids are calling these flare leggings now but they will always be yoga pants to me. These are just like the ones from American Eagle, but less expensive. The fabric is thin and not super compressive so they aren’t great for working out, but they are perfect for wearing around and walking the dogs. I like that they aren’t cotton because the black is super dark and doesn’t attract lint.

    They are $29.99.

    8. mock neck pullover sweater

Old Navy had this same sweater last year and it’s just a great basic sweater. It is a great length with high waisted pants or skirts, easy enough to do a front tuck if you want and looks good dressed up or down.

It’s $44.99 and comes in several color options.

    9. woven leather hobo bag

I saw this bag pop up on my Instagram and loved it immediately. It’s just gorgeous. It’s also $198 which is not a bad price if you’re looking for a really nice bag.

However, it reminds me a lot of this leather woven purse on Amazon.

This comes in several color options but a pop of red in an outfit is so trendy right now and this would be so fun with your winter wardrobe. This is $46.98.

    10. English factory half-zip pullover sweater

And speaking of red, this is just the cutest sweater. You could dress it up or down, but this is the kind of thing I would wear all the time when the weather is cool.

It’s $118 and comes in several color options.

    That’s it for today.

    Have a good Friday.

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode 359

This week I share my thoughts and feelings about the A&M / Bama game, and Sophie shares how she learned a hard lesson about her tolerance for roller coasters at this stage in her life. Needless to say we’ve both been subjected to some humbling experiences over the last few days.

We also talk about TV (there’s a documentary that Sophie loved so much she would do commercials for it), and it’s my turn for Five Favorites.

    Hope you enjoy!

  • Fashion Friday: Edition let’s call this one BTHO Bama

So it’s kind of a big Saturday in College Station this weekend. I’m stretching and hydrating in an effort to prepare myself, but I also know there’s a good chance I’ll be holding my breath from the time we kick off at 2:30 until the game ends around 6. There’s no way it’s not going to be a nail biter and I’m bringing my A game. I just hope the football team does the same.

Also, the weather is going to be delightful. Like actual fall football weather instead of a vast hellscape. What a novelty that will be.

Here are some cute things I found this week:

    1. pilcro relaxed velvet button-down shirt

I love these velvet button-downs. They are such an effortless way to dress up a pair of jeans or pants for the holiday season or a night out.

They come in several colors and are $128.

    2. mandira wirk one shoulder dress

Last weekend a friend texted me about needing a dress for a wedding in November. This caused me to look around at all the various dress options and I have fallen in love with this one. The colors are so pretty and it looks like it would be super flattering.

    It’s $248.

    3. dolman sleeve knitted sweater top

This photo doesn’t make this look like much, but this is the best little sweater. It’s a lightweight knit and just looks great with jeans or skirts.

It’s $33.33 and comes in a bunch of color options.

    4. long wool cardigan

This is so similar to all kinds of variations of this that are sold for much higher price points. I love something like this because you can dress it up or just throw it on over athleisure. Either way, it’s a great look.

This is $47.99 and comes in a bunch of other colors.

    5. leather flutter sleeve shirt

I went in Gap the other day and saw this top in person. I never know how I’m going to feel about a leather top because a lot of them can be too thick or feel cheap. This one is buttery soft and a perfect weight. It would be so cute with jeans or black pants.

    It’s on sale for $35.

    6. puff sleeve mini tiered dress

I also saw this in Gap and it’s so much cuter in person. Plus, I love this maroon color because add cowboy boots and it’s a game day outfit.

This is on sale for $23. It also comes in black. And it’s available in tall sizes if you want a little extra length.

    7. lou & grey wafflestitch cowl neck tunic

I featured this same tunic in a stripe and it was a bestseller. It’s such a great easy piece to wear with leggings and I love it in this hot pink.

It’s on sale for $38.46. It also comes in white.

    8. the ruffle puffer vest

This is such a cute little piece for fall and winter. I love a vest and this one with the ruffled sleeves is so fun.

It’s $86. It comes in several other colors.

    9. risen kick flare raw hem jeans

These Risen jeans are always so good and I love this kick flare raw hem. It’s just a great basic jean to have in your closet.

    These are $69.

    10. Chelsea platform boots with lug sole

I love Chelsea boots. They are a great comfortable option to wear when you want to look a little dressed up but still have to walk a lot. And they are a great style to wear with the jeans I featured up above.

Y’all know how I love a starter price point if you want to just try a pair of shoes without a big commitment. These are just $51.98. They come in several color options including black.

    That’s it for today.

    Have a good Friday.

    BTHO Bama.

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode 358

It was not a great weekend for the Bulldogs, but it was a great weekend for the Aggies, so naturally we have a big discussion about all of that along with our Side Eyes and I See Yous. One of us has an exciting (not) update on kitchen appliances, and we both have a TV recommendation.

We also talk about words we don’t care for, and it’s Sophie’s turn for Five Favorites.

  • Fashion Friday: Edition has anyone seen fall?

Well this past week was the first official day of fall and around here it meant absolutely nothing. I guess I could wear a sweater and boots but then I would also die of heat stroke. So I guess we are heading into October still hoping that eventually the sun will get the memo and calm down.

Here are a few things I found this week.

    1. Maeve Bennet button-down shirt

These Bennett button-down shirts are so good and just the perfect thing to wear with jeans. You can tie them, tuck them or just wear them out.

There are several color options on sale right now for $59.95.

    2. anne klein everly penny loafers

I would like to tell you about some silver penny loafers I had back in 1987. They were spectacular and I loved them with all my heart. I also had a navy pair and a brown pair. All that to say, I have long loved a loafer as a shoe option.

These black suede are so pretty and versatile and on sale for $69.99. They also come in other colors but I have specifically been on the lookout for a good black shoe.

    3. Maeve varsity color block half-zip sweater

I just think this is so darling. Love the navy and green and the quarter zip. Super easy to dress up or down.

    It’s $128.

    4. rib knit sweater

I love an H&M sweater. They are such a bargain but feel like much more expensive sweaters. Love the length on this, perfect for wearing with leggings or yoga pants.

This is $32.99. It also comes in black

    5. rib knit striped turtleneck

A striped sweater is just a great classic piece to have in your closet. This one looks really good and is just $34.99.

    It comes in other colors.

    6. tie front long line vest

I think a long vest is such a great piece to have. This is a great color to wear over all black to the office. Or with jeans and white shirt and booties for a night out.

    It’s $44.99.

    7. waffle knit button down

This is super similar to a shirt from Free People. I have this and loved it last fall and winter. It’s super soft and you can wear it with leggings or jeans.

It comes in a ton of color options and is $36.99.

    8. anrabess side zipper pullover

I love a good athleisure option to throw on before or after a workout. Or just to wear around when I run errands.

This is so cute with the side zippers. It’s $31.99 plus a $4 off coupon at checkout. It comes in lots of color options.

    9. sweater long sleeve shirt combo

I love this look but I don’t want to have to actually figure out the layers. This is a great way to achieve all my layered goals without the work.

    This is $89.

    10. boho cape cardigan

I really love this. It is so pretty and could totally function as a winter coat.

    It’s $79.

    That’s it for today.

    Have a good Friday.

In addition to all of our TSwift / Travis Kelce excitement, this I have good news from College Station, and while Sophie doesn’t have great news about her Bulldogs, it’s certainly better than last week. We also have info on some live show merch (link below!), and it’s my turn for Five Favorites.
