Big Boo Cast: Episode 438

We’ve had some bluebird spring days in San Antonio and Birmingham over the last week, so on this episode Sophie and I talk about how we’ve been soaking up the great weather. I also bemoan the endlessness of a day after waking up early, and Sophie shares about her harrowing unintended career change into a world of first aid and medical transport.

On top of all that, we discuss the outstanding array of Alabama baseball’s walk-up songs, and it’s Sophie’s turn for Five Favorites.

Hope you enjoy!

Big Boo Cast: Episode 437

This week Sophie and I have so many post-live show thoughts…about air travel, about the fun we had in Arkansas, and about all the basketball we’ve watched since we’ve been back at home. We also marvel at the ways our college baseball fortunes improved over the course of the weekend.

On top of that, I discuss the perils of losing your wallet, and it’s also my turn for Five Favorites.

Enjoy, everybody!

Big Boo Cast: Episode 436

While I went to Round Top with Caroline this past weekend, Sophie watched a lot of basketball and Netflix, so we catch up on this episode about all of our respective adventures (on Sophie’s end of things, to be clear, “adventures” is a super strong word). There’s also a post-book club recap of our Here Be Dragons discussion with Perry, which was the 2025 gift we didn’t even know we needed.

Also, Sophie shares about how she decided to celebrate her mama’s birthday this year, and it’s her turn for Five Favorites.

Hope you enjoy!

Fashion Friday: Edition you can find me in Round Top

Well, I’ve spent an entire week at home and it’s been lovely. My house is actually clean, there is food in my refrigerator and my laundry is done. What a novelty.

But now I’m on the road again because I’m doing a book signing at The Junk Gypsy Headquarters in Round Top, Texas on Saturday from 11-1. If you happen to be in Round Top, I would love to see you.

I also plan to do some shopping.

Here are some cute things I found this week:

1. floral peep toe clogs

These are maybe the cutest sandals I’ve seen so far this season. They come in several color options. I love that they have that clog look to them.

They are $148.

2. corey lynn calter sleeveless shirt dress

This designer makes the prettiest dresses and I love this print.

This is $188.

3. letluv johnny cash tee

I love a good graphic tee and this Johnny Cash one is perfection.

It’s $88.

4. nike v2k run sneakers

I’d been looking for some new athletic sneakers and then I found these. I love the pastel color for spring and summer and they are super comfortable.

They are $120.

5. tiered midi dress

Listen, H&M is the place to find great dresses and great prices.

This is $34.99.

6. joygirl pleated tennis skirt

I’ve decided that tennis skirts will get me through this summer. I prefer this look over athletic shorts and I love that there’s always a pocket for my phone.

This brand is one of my favorites and is a great length.

It’s $29.99.

7. vintage havana tencel wide leg pants

I love a good lightweight pant to throw on during spring and summer. These are super soft and go with everything.

Such a cute top to wear with jeans or shorts.

It’s $79.

10. floral shift dress

If you have a spring or summer event, I think this dress is so pretty. It comes in several color options.
