  • Big Boo Cast: Episode we are on a roll

    Stop.

We are up to four podcasts in a row.

I think it’s safe to say this make actually become a regular thing now that all my internet issues have been sorted out. Today we talk a little bit about The Bachelorette, but we also cover fall shoe trends (Booties. It’s still all about the booties.) and books and even the upcoming Miss Mississippi pageant.

I was going to bring up the fact that something appear to be wrong with my sinus cavities, but refrained lest these podcasts become a list of all our various ailments. And now I’m glad I did because I just heard on the news that the mold count is really high right now. And the molds? They get me every time.

So maybe I’m not getting the black plague, but just have some bad allergies.

Anyway, to spend forty-five minutes of your life that you’ll never get back listening to the two of us ramble, you can click here to listen. Or here. Or, as always, you can subscribe on iTunes.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode we talk a lot about television

    Yes. It’s true.

Three podcasts in a timely manner. We’re practically the next Oprah.

But Caroline and P were out of town last night, so I felt like it was an opportune time to record a podcast and Sophie totally agreed. However, we experienced several internet issues. Which should come as no surprise given our history.

Fortunately, Skype came to the rescue and we were able to get the whole thing up and running. I know you’ll be so glad as you listen to us go on endlessly about television and the song stylings of Gloria Loring and Billy Vera and The Beaters.

It’s not like you can get this kind of material anywhere.

Actually, you can totally get it anywhere. Completely for free.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or you can subscribe on iTunes.

    Y’all enjoy.

And if there’s some pressing question or issue you’re dying to hear us discuss in upcoming podcasts, feel free to leave it in the comments.

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode can you believe we have another one up this soon?

    It’s true.

It’s another Big Boo Cast. And it hasn’t even been a year.

Now that my internet is officially working we might even do these on some kind of regular basis. Which will be a nice change from our sporadic ways of the past.

But I’ll tell you what hasn’t changed, the useless amount of information we share. I can’t even remember what all we talked about but I know at one point we engage in a fascinating discussion of our various medical ailments. It’s probably just a matter of time before we’re in talks about syndication.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or you can subscribe on iTunes.

    Hope y’all enjoy.

On another note, I’ll be in Lexington, Kentucky this weekend. Anyone have any thoughts about some good restaurants?

***edited to add that I’ll be in Louisville, not Lexington. It was late when I wrote this and they both start with L. It’s the same reason I get Abilene and Amarillo confused.

Also, for any thieves now contemplating a home invasion, P will still be at home. He is armed. And somewhat dangerous. Especially if he runs out of Nilla Wafers.

There might be more than several of you who don’t even remember that Sophie and I used to record the occasional podcast. In fact, there was a time when we even did them on a regular basis.

Then last year about this time we recorded our first podcast in over six months and vowed that we were going to start doing one at least every other week.

Which totally explains why we never recorded another one until this past weekend. It would seem that while we are good at making commitments, we are lacking in the follow-through department.

It’s not really our fault though. It’s AT&T’s fault because my internet connection won’t let me connect to the iChat for longer than four minutes without cutting me off. Sure, I could call customer service but I’ll need to get a prescription for Valium first. Thankfully, I was able to go rogue and find an unsecure wireless connection that allowed me to podcast.

I’m not proud, I’m just being honest.

So the podcast is back. And it hasn’t changed much so be prepared for a lot of thoughts about our hair, television and other life-changing topics.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or you can subscribe on iTunes.

My big plan for the afternoon is to get on the horn with AT&T. I will not rest until they actually send someone out to my house to fix our internet once and for all. Otherwise, I will take three nerve pills and begin the search for a new internet provider.

And if you have any questions for future podcasts that may or may not actually occur, feel free to leave them in the comments.

  • Big Boo Cast: Episode it’s been way too long

I think it’s safe to say that when I post a picture of some wire coat hangers in my laundry basket that I’m experiencing a touch of the writer’s block. When I mentioned this to Sophie yesterday she suggested that maybe we could do a podcast for the first time in about a year and I said, “SIGN ME UP”.

We hooked up our microphones, put on our headsets, and in no time at all we were back in the nerdy podcast saddle. You’ll be glad to know that we haven’t lost our talent for rambling endlessly about nothing of any real importance, unless you consider a lengthy discussion of Jessica Simpson’s new perfume to be critical information.

You can click here to listen. Or here. Or you can subscribe on iTunes.

    Y’all have a good day.

Several of you (at last count at least two maybe even four) have emailed and asked for a new podcast. If only you knew all the podcasts that have been recorded only to have technical difficulties. In fact, last night when I told P I was going to podcast with Sophie and Travis, he told me he’d never seen three people waste so much time for something that never sees the light of day.

Oh, but we showed him because not only do we have a podcast up and ready to go, it is chock-full of some of the most trivial and random information a person could find in one convenient location.

In fact, I can’t even remember what all we discuss, although I know the original reason we did it was to talk to Travis about his new CD. Needless to say, we veered off course.

    Way off course.

Anyway, it’s not like there’s anything good on T.V. so if you want to spend an hour of your life that you’ll never get back listening, you can click here to listen. Or here.
